One Year Blogging Anniversary! Blogger Recognition Award Take 3 and 4

UN. FREAKING. BELIEVABLE.

Just opened WordPress to find this and its funny how an auto-generated message is making me so happy (thanks to my lovely sarcastic roommate for pointing out that auto-generated part). There are NO WORDS to express what I’m feeling right now, but I’m still going to try.

I started this blog on a whim and I absolutely cannot believe where I am now. Not even my wildest dreams would I have imagined a year ago, that I’d stick with blogging for a year and post more than 200 posts. It has been a wonderful year and I thank each of you lovely followers for everything!

For this Anniversary, I thought I could finally do the Blogger Recognition Award for which I was kindly nominated by Marianna Reads and Orange Owl Diaries. Thank you so much for the nomination and sorry that it took me so long to get to it! I feel so honored.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

My mom has long thought that I’d be good at blogging and tried so hard to get me to start a blog but like the idiot I am, I never listened.

Last year however, an old classmate of mine needed help with a college assignment related with blogging and so I created an ID. After that, I figured why not? I started writing a few posts and I was so surprised that there were people who were actually interested in what I have to say. It was tough to come up with topics at first but blogging really has grown on me. I love the book blogging community and it has gotten me through so many tough times. Thank you all of you!

ADVICE TO NEW BLOGGERS

Focus on what you love

As cliche as this might sound, its true. Write about what you want to, and not what you think would sit well with an audience. If you love your content, your readers will eventually too.

Interact

The whole point of blogging is to meet new people and learn new things so don’t be afraid to comment, like, follow and interact with as many bloggers as possible. It is an enjoyable experience for you and them.

Until next time
