Hi everyone and welcome to my post about the Book Blogger Insider Tag! I feel like I haven’t done a tag in so long and they really are so much fun. I don’t quite remember where I found this one and wasn’t really tagged for it but it seemed like a fun tag so here we go –
1. Answer the questions below
2. Credit the creator Jamie @ALittleSliceofJamie
3. Tag at least 5 people I wasn’t really tagged for this so I’m not tagging anyone either
4. Have fun!
Where do you typically write your blog posts?
I generally write them in the evenings after college on my bed. I tend to have this one day at the beginning of the month where I end up writing like 15 posts in one go and then I arrange them all on my Google Calendar and just post accordingly. I used to use the scheduling feature on WordPress but it messed up a few posts of mine so I’ve stopped with that.
How long does it generally take you to write a book review?
A month ago, the answer to this question would be – DAYS ON END. I hated writing reviews. Lately, I’ve started maintaining a Reading Journal which I keep filling as I read the book itself. As soon as the book ends I make little notations in the Journal on all the things I want to include in the review and VOILA! It takes me about 20-30 minutes to write a review this way!
When did you start your book blog?
January 25th, 2017! Its been just over a year and it has been a lovely year!
What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
Hmm. I can’t think of anything because if there is something I don’t like in my blog, I tend to just drop it instead of focusing on something I’m not loving. I guess the worst thing could be the fact that I find so many amazing books through my blog and I feel like my TBR has no end!
What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
ALL OF IT! IT’S PURE HAPPINESS FOR ME! I think a highlight for me would be review requests! I’ve been receiving a couple of review requests recently and that’s just so great because that means I’m slowly getting to a point where I’m actually extremely content with what I’m doing and I just love that.
What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?
Quite a few actually but the most recent would be Why I Don’t Tell My Friends About My Blog! As soon as I was done with it I showed it to a couple of my friends and had a good laugh at their reactions!
What is your favorite type of blog post to write?
I don’t write posts that I don’t enjoy anymore but one of my favorites has to be Top 5 Wednesday!
When do you typically write?
Basically anywhere between 9 PM and 4 AM. I’m basically an insomniac at this point.
Do you review every book you read?
I review most but yes, I do skip a few. Example I chose not to review Turtles All the Way Down by John Green not because I didn’t like it. In fact I gave it 5 stars. It’s just that I didn’t have a lot to say about it. It was a lovely book and is now one of my favorites but beyond that there isn’t really much to say.
How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?
I have Sherlock with me! Sherlock’s my adorable Giant Teddy Bear and best friend in this monstrous University that I live in. He and my Book Journal keep me company while I play episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine or F.R.I.E.N.D.S in the background.
When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?
I write whatever I want to include in the review almost immediately after finishing the book in my journal but the actual review could be typed out even up to a month after I’ve read the book. It all depends on what my posting schedule looks like.
How often do you post?
I post every alternate day and all my Wednesdays are filled with Top 5 Wednesday so that works out to about 4 posts a week!
And that’s all for today! In case you like this tag please do try it out and link back to it in the comments so I can read all your answers too!
Hope you have a great day! Until next time –
