Hi everyone! I was recently tagged by Not-So-Modern-Girl for the extremely fun What’s On My Bookshelf Tag, a chance to look back through my bookshelf. Thanks a ton for the tag! For the rest of you readers, please do check out her super-amazing blog for all things book.
To make things interesting, I’ve decided to actually stick to books that are actually on my shelf in my hostel (which unfortunately is not a lot).
- Link back to me so I can see everyone’s answers! (Naty’s Bookshelf)
- Also link back to the person who tagged you!
- Name one book for each category; try not to repeat books to make this more fun!
- Tag at least 5 people
A LIBRARY BOOK
Well I went to this library in my town that was being shut down permanently and bought Ender in Exile by Orson Scott Card. However, I still haven’t read it.
A BOOK YOU GOT AS A GIFT
My birthday was last month, so my roommate bought me A Room of One’s Own by Virgina Woolf! It’s the perfect book for my Popsugar Challenge category – a book about feminism.
A CHILDHOOD BOOK
Magnus Chase and the Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan
A MAGICAL BOOK
Taking this one as literally as possible – Caraval by Stephanie Garber! Full of magic!
A ROMANTIC BOOK
I haven’t actually read Geekerella by Ashley Poston yet but given that it is a Cinderella retelling, I presume its the most romantic book on my shelf.
A STEAMY BOOK
Well. I don’t actually have one – not that I can think of.
AN OLD BOOK
Well the most worn and torn book on my shelf is Eragon by Christopher Paolini.
A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU LAUGH
11 year old Percy is just AWESOME and so very sassy!
A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU EMOTIONAL
I can’t even. Nope.
A BOOK WHOSE ENDING YOU DISLIKE
Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson didn’t have my favorite ending. Well the beginning and the middle weren’t my favorite either anyways.
A BOOK YOU WISH HAD ILLUSTRATIONS
Well I’m not a big fan of illustrations as it is but if I had to pick one, the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyardwould be great with illustrations. The only copy I own from the series is King’s Cage.
A BOOK OR GENRE YOU LOVE READING WHEN ITS RAINING
Paper Towns by John Green. I don’t even know why?
And that’s all for today! Hope you have a great day! Until next time –
