Reading Habits Book Tag

Hi everyone! Since I have exams for the next few weeks, I don’t have a lot of time to write reviews unfortunately, so I decided to post a few fun tags and such instead. I saw this lovely tag about Reading Habits a long time ago and it seemed like a lot of fun! I hope you enjoy it!

Bookmark or random pieces of paper?

Well I generally read on my Kindle so this isn’t much of a problem. Back in the days before Kindle, I did occasionally use bookmarks. However, for some random unknowable reason, I was fascinated by the tags of new clothes and tended to use those alone. I had this really cool one shaped like a guitar which I’ve now unfortunately lost.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

I can just stop reading. As long as I don’t stop at a cliffhanger that is because otherwise –

Do you eat or drink while reading?

All the time. I love snacking while reading, especially when its on the Kindle. I worry about leaving food stains on paperbacks so I avoid eating then.

Multi-tasking: Music or TV while reading?

Yup. I always have some TV show or song playing in the background, even when I’m reading or studying. I generally tune it out but I still like having it on.

One book at a time or several at once?

I start several until I find one that holds my attention. Once I’m done with that I get back to the others.

Reading at home or everywhere?

EVERYWHERE. I read in class, while traveling, at home, on flights and even while walking on the road (which is a HORRENDOUSLY bad idea by the way). I have a problem.

Reading out loud or just silently in your head?

Silently. I hate reading out loud.

Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

I’m not proud of it, but yeah sometimes. If the story is just not moving, I will skip a few pages. A great example would be Eldest by Christopher Paolini. I just wasn’t even interested in the parts with Roran in them.

Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

To answer this I’m just gonna say this – A classmate once broke the spine of my book as a joke and I burst into tears……….

No further questions.

Do you write in your books?

Nope. I don’t even like writing in my textbooks unless I absolutely have to, in which case I use a pencil.

And that’s all for today! Hope you have a great day! Until next time –
